Chomper

Meet Chomper – An excellent activity partner and cuddle buddy!

Chomper has been one of our bigger transition projects, and we are incredibly proud of the great progress he has made adjusting to indoor life. He is now crate trained but does struggle with being alone and can experience anxiety, so he’ll need a home that can provide companionship, structure, and continued support.  He is very high energy and will do best in an active household. Chomper is an excellent skijoring partner and loves to run (we think he’ll make a perfect running buddy). He gets along well with other dogs, (he’s buddies with everyone) and enjoys being part of a pack.

Chomper is confident, incredibly loving, and great with kids. With the right active home, he’ll be a fun, loyal companion.

Lilly

Meet Lilly-Lilly is a 9-year-old retired Iditarod competitor who is ready to trade the trail for the couch.

After a long career in a long-distance mushing kennel, Lilly is now looking for a peaceful, loving home where she can enjoy the softer side of life. She is wonderful in the house and would thrive in a low-activity household that appreciates quiet companionship and gentle routines.  Lilly loves her daily walks and still enjoys stretching her legs, but she’s very happy to come back home and relax.  She gets along with some other dogs, especially males, but can be a little particular with other females. Because of this, a single-dog home or a home with a respectful male companion may be the best fit for her.  Personality-wise, Lilly is incredibly sweet and gentle. She forms deep bonds with her people and is very affectionate once she feels comfortable.

If you’re looking for a loyal, tender-hearted retired athlete to share your couch and your life, Lilly may be your girl.

Ace

Meet Ace – A very happy boy who is up for an adventure!

Ace is a 10-year-old Iditarod veteran who has really embraced life as a house dog. He’s very well behaved indoors and settles nicely, but he still gets excited for playtime, free runs, and daily leash walks.

He loves female dogs and gets along with most males. Ace would also do just fine as a single dog. If he’s not with other dogs, he can be prone to wandering a bit, so continued recall work will be important unless he’s on leash or in a secure area.

Ace is a happy, easygoing guy who’s up for just about anything. Ace is notorious for flopping on his back and asking for belly rubs. He’d thrive in a home where he can enjoy his daily walks along with the occasional short adventure with his person.
