At Hanging Up the Harness (HUTH), we believe every sled dog deserves a loving home after their working career comes to an end. Based in Willow, Alaska, we operate a “sled dog retirement community,” where dogs are cared for and supported through their transition until they find the perfect home.

Our mission is to facilitate the transition of retired sled dogs into loving pet homes by providing care, socialization, and thoughtful placement to ensuring every dog finds the right home for their next chapter.
