Muskrat is, without question, the most energetic dog in the entire kennel. While the rest of the team rests between runs, he’s still going—doing endless circles in his spot like he’s training for a marathon no one else signed up for. At 7 years old, he shows absolutely no signs of slowing down.
Born with a short tail and just half an ear from a puppyhood mishap, Muskrat has a unique look. Along with his cute looks, he might be the most enthusiastic dog we’ve ever met. His high-pitched yelps (which his human Carrie swears are slowly destroying her hearing) are a soundtrack to his boundless excitement.
But don’t let his wild energy fool you—Muskrat has learned some manners. When told to “be a gentleman,” he’ll perch proudly on his house and sit like the polite little tornado he is. He’s also a loyal teammate, always running alongside his sister Possum and acting as a built-in cheerleader on long-distance tours with his constant energy and enthusiasm.
Muskrat isn’t up for adoption, but sponsoring him helps keep this wild, joyful spirit doing what he loves: running, cheering, and bringing big grins to everyone around him.
